Interactive D3 visualization mapping social metrics onto facial landmark meshes.
Why I Built This
I wanted a project that treated data visualization as expression, not just reporting. After building many utility-focused interfaces, I used this to experiment with emotion, abstraction, and visual storytelling through interaction. It became a way to test how far data can go as an artistic medium while still being interpretable.
What I Made
- An interactive D3 experiment that maps abstract social metrics to facial-landmark geometry.
- Visual transformations with dynamic color, blur, and dithering-inspired effects.
- Interactive controls to explore how each metric changes the composition.
Outcome
A creative visualization project that sits between art and analytics, and helped me sharpen both storytelling and interaction design instincts.
